#2: Mobilizing Mobile Morgues

While the projected peak of coronavirus cases is not expected to happen for another couple of weeks, mobile morgues can already be seen setting up in South Florida. Jackson Health Systems have stated, "As we navigate through this crisis, we are learning from other areas that have faced severe medical challenges like NYC and, out of an abundance of caution, we are trying to plan ahead. We remain hopeful that our community continues to follow social distancing practices and stay at home orders to minimize the impact of this virus in Miami-Dade County. "

#3: Operation Beer Replenishment

93-year-old Pittsburgh woman, Olive Veronesi, was running low on beer. Through a picture that went viral on social media, Molson Coors swiftly came to Veronesi's rescue and personally delivered 10 cases of Coors Light right to her doorstep. And now, Veronesi can continue her lifestyle of one beer a night; after all, "it's good for you."

#4: Delivery Driver Delivered to Himself

Instead of dropping off an order of groceries, Texas delivery driver, Luis Semedy, received a text saying the food was actually ordered for him. The anonymous original recipient of the groceries wrote in the text, "Hello Luis, this food is for you! I appreciate your work through these tough times! I hope you enjoy it and stay safe! <3"

#5: Unexpected Birthday Cheers

When utility worker, Albert Jones, learned it was 94-year-old Barbara’s birthday, he stopped what he was doing to sing “Happy Birthday” to her. Barbara daughter says, "Her whole face lit up!" Be sure to give Jones' soulful tune a listen yourself:

#6: Mandatory Face Masks in NY

Gov. Andrew Cuomo has issued an executive order requiring everyone to wear a form of facial covering when in public if they are not able to social distance. As an additional requirement, the facial cover, regardless if it's a simple piece of cloth, a bandana, or etc, must cover the nose as well. Since Cuomo's announcement on April 15th, the city of New York had 3 days to comply with the new executive order.

#7: Beaches Grand Reopening

Beaches and parks alike have reopened in Duval County, Florida. These popular public spaces have been opened for what is described by Jacksonville Mayor as "essential activities" only. And, for the time being, the beaches and parks will only be open with limited hours per day.

#8: The Beginning of Public Protests

Conservative groups have started a series of protests against stay-at-home orders in Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Kentucky. One protester remarked, "Let people practice safe hygiene, social distancing, whatever, at their own descretion." Another protester could be seen with a sign stating "Freedom has never been safe".

#9: The New Social Norm: The Pledge of Allegiance

With a majority of people staying at home due to the coronavirus, one neighborhood decided to start their days off together with the Pledge of Allegiance. This social act of unity includes the participation of 9-year-old Zach and 7-year-old Juliette, who are both stuck at home as well since schools have remained closed. This is definitely a more inspirational way for Americans everywhere to regain a sense of normalcy.
